About The Position

Join the Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) team as an integral part of the construction, commissioning, and future operations of the SRC's Rare Earth Processing Facility. This facility is North America's first vertically-integrated, commercial demonstration facility, complete with hydrometallurgy, separation, and metal smelting stages. Rare earth elements (REEs) are essential in many modern technologies, such as wind turbines, cell phones, and electric vehicles. SRC's Rare Earth Processing Facility is the first-of-its-kind in North America and will begin to establish an REE technology hub in Saskatchewan, forming an industry model for future commercial REE initiatives. Current opportunities include Apprentice Electrician, Apprentice Plumber, Journeyperson Electrician, and Journeyperson Plumber. These roles are offered as 12-month term positions, with the possibility to extend and transition to permanent employment. The chosen candidate will also be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt. This position is located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Requirements

  • Skilled tradesperson with experience in industrial or manufacturing settings
  • Must provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties.
