About The Position

The Trades leader will oversee day-to-day maintenance technician and skilled trades operations, ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety plant production equipment. This hands-on leader will utilize their skilled trades expertise and tools (electrician, pipefitter, millwright, or maintenance technician) to support maintenance teams, troubleshoot equipment issues, and coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance activities in a planned and scheduled environment. Our Solar business delivers industry leading, U.S.-made solar components. We manufacture hyper-pure polysilicon, high-quality solar wafers, and innovative photovoltaic modules, leveraging our leadership in advanced manufacturing to serve growing energy demand. You will be a part of advancing critical U.S. supply chains and delivering unmatched quality and reliability to customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a skilled trade role or technical maintenance role.
  • Proficiency in at least one skilled trade.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with industrial systems.
  • Effective communication and team coordination skills.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and compliance in all maintenance work.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shift on a 2-3-2 rotating schedule, alternating day/night to night/day every two weeks.

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman certification in a skilled trade preferred.
  • Previous experience supervising trades or acting as a lead technician is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily maintenance operations of production equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Lead maintenance technicians and skilled trades in performing preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
  • Coordinate daily maintenance tasks for operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex equipment failures.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance work and train team members.
  • Improve and oversee preventative maintenance programs.
  • Document work performed in maintenance management systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers, facilities team, contractors, and vendors for repairs and maintenance.
  • Train and mentor team members.
