About The Position

The Trades Generalist performs a variety of semi-skilled repair and trades tasks related to facility maintenance, modification services, breaking down, reinstallation of office furnishings, and provides general maintenance and repair of court facilities and equipment, while providing excellent customer service to judicial staff. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years’ experience involving a variety of repair and maintenance tasks to include semi-skilled trades.
  • Three (3) years’ experience breaking down, reinstallation of office furnishings.
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona Driver’s License at the time of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years of experience breaking down, reinstallation of office furnishings within a large commercial, industrial, or institutional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses, adjusts, repairs, replaces, services, constructs, fabricates, inspects, installs, and/or paints county fixtures, equipment and facilities.
  • Operates various manual and power tools and equipment.
  • Reads and interprets schematics and maps.
  • Estimates time, labor, equipment and materials needed for jobs.
  • Orders, purchases, picks-up and delivers materials, supplies and equipment.
  • Performs customer service, troubleshooting and service writing functions.
  • Utilizes a personal computer for training and work order completion.
  • Responds to facilities emergencies regarding water leaks, power failures, and all other disruptions to normal service.
  • Routinely disassembles, reassembles, and moves modular and free-standing furniture.
  • Oversees work crews.
