About The Position

Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Trader for its New York, NY location. Duties: Provide insights and transparency into Futures & Derivatives Clearing (FDC) complex treasury related functions with the goal of maximizing returns and client economics. Assess relevant customer, competitor, and industry insights to help define strategies to improve client experience and portfolio growth. Perform collateral management functions including monetizing cash deployment opportunities and investing cash into bonds for risk and liquidity management. Develop technical models and analytics to facilitate business intelligence and decision making around customer and financial metrics as well as develop quantitative and technical metrics to implement monitoring of customer balance and collateral posting activity. Assist in the development of optimization tools to help efficiently deploy collateral. Provide insight and recommendations on innovative product development, product targeting, and segmentation strategies as well as oversee aspects of product development lifecycle management including market demands, technology trends, and the competitive field. Oversee product financial performance including identifying opportunities and gaps and developing business strategies. Participate in budgeting and planning for strategic priorities and initiatives. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Economics, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation working with financial models.
  • Five (5) years of experience must include: Building data pipelines from disparate sources, and cleaning and transforming data into standardized datasets; Creating optimization models in Python to help deploy multi-asset securities pledged as collateral by clients; Developing advanced analytics and reporting to drive key metrics, assess client behavior, and collateral posting activity; Researching and developing pricing models for portfolio construction, optimization, performance measurement and attribution; Developing and testing new analytical software to ensure compliance with user requirements, specifications and scope; Architecting key processes and functionality for the treasury function, organizing and leading stakeholders/dependent teams on design, build, and implementation; and Substantiating P&L, reconciling and overseeing treasury operational processes, and managing client pricing and discussions.
  • In the alternative, employer will accept a Master’s degree and three (3) years of experience.
  • Employer will accept pre- or post- Master’s degree experience.
