About The Position

This role is for a Trader in Commodities, specifically focusing on the lumber industry. The company offers an in-house training and mentorship program for new hires, so prior trading experience is not required. The Trader will be responsible for building and maintaining a new book of business through cold calling and prospecting, identifying customer needs, and providing value. This involves discovering and developing new opportunities within the lumber industry through market research, lead generation, and networking. The role demands exceptional listening and questioning skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to develop long-lasting customer relationships. The challenge involves developing a dynamic business plan in a competitive market, taking the lead in identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and enhancing revenue growth.
