About The Position

The Trademark Paralegal provides general assistance to attorneys and paralegals within the practice group. Assignments may extend into other practice areas. Ensures client service and satisfaction are attained in all areas of the position. Apply foundational knowledge and established procedures to complete assigned projects and tasks. Develop proficiency in technology and tools relevant to the position. Follow defined processes and instructions to ensure accuracy and quality of work. Utilize organizational skills to prepare work product and maintain efficient workflow within and across teams. Identify issues and consult with appropriate team members to resolve problems. Leverage available resources to improve efficiency and quality of work product. Meet administrative and billing requirements by preparing and releasing daily time notes and submitting weekly timecards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record required.
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines under direct supervision.
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership over projects.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in preparing work product.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and shift priorities as needed.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Flexibility to work overtime and travel as needed to meet business and client demands.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and management of trademark portfolios.
  • Support preparation, filing, prosecution, and maintenance of trademark applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Initiate foreign trademark filings and correspond with international trademark agents.
  • Monitor prosecution deadlines and ensure timely responses.
  • Prepare status charts and communicate updates regarding new and pending applications.
  • Conduct online trademark searches and other investigatory research.
  • Assist in preparing trademark due diligence reports.
  • Organize, maintain, and update client files and docket information related to trademark portfolios.
