About The Position

A highly respected national law firm is seeking a Trademark Associate Attorney to join its Dallas office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing global brands, emerging companies, and other sophisticated clients in domestic and international trademark matters.

Requirements

2–6 years of trademark, intellectual property, or brand protection experience gained at a sophisticated law firm
Experience representing public companies, private companies, emerging growth businesses, and brand owners in trademark matters
Strong legal research, writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Excellent academic credentials
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
Texas bar admission required or ability to become admitted

Nice To Haves

Experience handling trademark enforcement matters, TTAB proceedings, domain name disputes, and online brand protection issues
Experience drafting trademark coexistence agreements, licensing agreements, assignment agreements, and other intellectual property agreements is a plus

Responsibilities

Representing global brands, emerging companies, and other sophisticated clients in domestic and international trademark matters.
Handling domestic and international trademark clearance, prosecution, and maintenance.
Managing global trademark portfolios and advising clients regarding brand protection strategies.
Conducting and analyzing trademark searches and providing clearance opinions.
Preparing and prosecuting trademark applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and coordinating foreign trademark filings.
Handling trademark enforcement matters, TTAB proceedings, domain name disputes, and online brand protection issues.
Drafting trademark coexistence agreements, licensing agreements, assignment agreements, and other intellectual property agreements.
Managing sophisticated trademark matters while working directly with clients.
