About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven leader to join Lantheus. As the Trade Relations Director you will play a crucial individual contributor role in developing and executing commercial partnership strategies that drive growth and maximize profitability while maintaining margins through our manufacturing and distribution partners. You will collaborate with a broad cross-functional team representing the Lantheus portfolio of radio diagnostic and therapeutic products focusing on PET manufacturing contracting, performance, and operational efficiencies. You will collaborate closely with multiple teams including manufacturing, supply chain, sales, product management, and marketing, to ensure alignment and effectiveness in achieving business objectives. The Trade Relations Director has the unique opportunity to impact on the lives of patients living with various forms of prostate cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, and neuroendocrine tumors and in need of disease diagnosis. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading an innovative channel partner execution approach to advance the business initiatives and expand and protect current business opportunities and relationships and position the Lantheus portfolio as the standard of care in the diagnostic imaging market. This role will also be responsible for developing and cultivating key external partnerships along with execution of key initiatives for current products and future pipelines and acquired products. This person will need to have strong negotiation, strategic and analytical skills and will be responsible for ensuring the attainment of Lantheus’ strategic and financial goals as well as developing short and long-term plans in support broad corporate objectives and to meet the needs of our key stakeholders. This individual will be an ambassador for instilling our cultural values and it will also be the responsibility of this position to execute continued efforts towards long-term market planning to ensure sustainability of the business and enhance our marketplace leadership. This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States and Puerto Rico.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in positions of escalating scope and responsibility within regulated life sciences organizations or the equivalent
  • Comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and or medical device industry and hospital systems (e.g., GPOs, Medical Directors, P&T Committees, referral patterns, etc.), as well as federal, state, industry, company and customer compliance regulations and policy
  • Proven experience in implementation of strategic initiatives in a dynamic business environment, a solid technical operational background, and an understanding of the challenges and impacts of identifying, selecting, qualifying, and managing external manufacturing partners.
  • Demonstrate deeply strategic thinking and ability to develop and negotiate highly complex contractual agreements.
  • Contribute industry expertise to the development and execution of corporate strategic plan as appropriate; consistently demonstrates exceptional judgement.
  • Build and cultivate productive relationships with internal and external thought leaders, clinical and market KOLs, business leaders / organizations, alliance partners and colleagues that are essential to the success of Lantheus products and business at large.
  • Champion and instill company and cultural values. Ensure initiatives align with Lantheus’ culture and corporate goals.
  • Proven ability to communicate ideas and information both verbally and written in a persuasive and appropriate manner to all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrate the ability to make enterprise-wide decisions and remain persistently focused on priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Health System strategy development and/or large account management preferred.
  • Experience with channel dynamics a plus.
  • Clinical and/or technical discipline knowledge (e.g., radiopharmaceuticals, urology related disease states, treatment paradigms, and future trends)

Responsibilities

  • Represent Lantheus’ interests in business-to-business relationships with PET Manufacturing organizations and radiopharmacies responsible for producing and distribution its products.
  • Oversee relationships and long-term partnerships within the PET manufacturing and radiopharmaceutical distribution channel; partner cross-functionally to drive product development and create and leverage business opportunities.
  • Own and foster relationships with key channel and manufacturing partners. Implement long-term contractual relationships allowing with both short-term security and long-term portfolio flexibility
  • Champion and instill company and cultural values. Ensure initiatives align with Lantheus’ culture and corporate goals.
  • Implement and monitor performance of key channel strategies and programs that align with the overall business objectives of the company.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, and translate insights into actionable strategic plans.
  • Identify and evaluate potential channel partners, including distributors, wholesalers, academics, and retailers to expand market reach and enhance product distribution.
  • Actively support planning for, and execution of, inline and pipeline launches with manufacturing partners.
  • Monitor and analyze channel performance, including sales data, market share, and customer feedback, to identify areas for improvement and optimize marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with commercial leadership to develop joint programs, incentives, and promotions to drive channel partner engagement and achieve sales targets.
  • Negotiate agreements with internal/external leadership that are critical to attainment of organizational objectives; provide consultative support and guidance to other cross-functional team members.
  • Demonstrate and employ the judgment, flexibility and situational leadership required to lead through complex combinations of market challenges, including business and organizational change necessitated by changes in the medical, regulatory, and business environment.
