As a Trade Operations Validation Analyst, you will join our team on a journey to help eliminate barriers for patients, increase their access to medications, and help them receive lifesaving treatments while working in an environment that nurtures you. The Trade Operations Validation Analyst is responsible for testing and validating patient cost benefit program builds and program changes across Valeris’ pharmacy claims processing partners. This role supports Trade Operations by translating program requirements, business rules, and expected adjudication outcomes into structured testing and validation activities that confirm programs perform accurately before implementation. The Analyst will be responsible for developing and executing test plans, test scenarios, and use cases for new programs, program changes, and ongoing updates built by the Trade Operations team. In addition, the Analyst will review and validate partner-executed testing to ensure results align with approved requirements, expected outcomes, data integrity standards, and Valeris’ quality expectations. This position requires strong technical aptitude, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work confidently across systems, data, business requirements, and external partner deliverables. The Analyst will identify defects, research discrepancies, document findings, support resolution, and help ensure reliable, compliant, and timely program implementations.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in operations, testing, quality assurance, systems support, implementation, product support, pharmacy claims, or a related analytical role preferred
  • Above average technical aptitude with the ability to learn complex systems, processor platforms, program configuration tools, and data structures quickly
  • Experience developing, executing, or validating test plans, test cases, use cases, expected results, and defect documentation
  • Comfortable working across multiple technology systems, platforms, portals, files, reports, and data sources
  • Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into detailed testing scenarios and measurable expected outcomes
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review data sets, compare results, identify trends or discrepancies, and draw accurate conclusions
  • Working knowledge of relational database concepts and data structures
  • SQL experience preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to review, filter, compare, and analyze data sets
  • Pharmacy claims processing, copay/patient affordability, benefit program, or healthcare operations experience preferred
  • Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to articulate requests, issues, findings, and resolutions clearly and on time
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, testing cycles, and competing deadlines at the same time
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with vendors, contractors, sub-contractors, processing partners, and internal partners
  • Proven problem-solving abilities, including the ability to investigate issues, ask effective questions, and recommend practical next steps

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze patient cost benefit program requirements, business rules, claims logic, and expected outcomes prior to testing or validation
  • Develop comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and use cases for programs and program changes supported through Valeris’ self-service processing capabilities
  • Execute testing for self-service processor program builds and updates, including standard scenarios, regression testing, edge cases, and exception conditions
  • Validate testing performed by processing partners for non-self-service or limited self-service program updates to confirm completeness, accuracy, and alignment with approved requirements
  • Compare actual system outputs, adjudication results, and data elements against expected outcomes, business rules, and program objectives
  • Analyze claims data, test results, file outputs, screenshots, reporting, and other evidence to identify discrepancies, defects, or gaps
  • Document test plans, test cases, results, defects, issue status, partner responses, approvals, and final validation outcomes in a clear and organized manner
  • Troubleshoot testing discrepancies and perform root cause analysis to help determine whether issues are related to requirements, configuration, data, system logic, or partner execution
  • Collaborate with internal Trade Operations, client-facing teams, technology partners, and processing partners to resolve testing issues and support timely implementation
  • Communicate testing progress, findings, risks, blockers, and recommended next steps to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner
  • Support end-to-end testing and implementation readiness for new program launches, program changes, enhancements, and maintenance updates
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing templates, validation processes, documentation standards, and quality controls
  • Adapt testing approaches based on evolving program requirements, system capabilities, partner processes, and business needs
  • Take initiative to independently learn new systems, processor tools, program structures, and data sources to support ongoing implementations and validation activities
