About The Position

The Trade Marketing & Events Specialist – North America is responsible for the planning and execution of customer-facing Trade Marketing programs and events across the United States and Canada. This role will lead regional Buying Days, Trunk Shows, Buying Group events, Roadshows and other customer-facing activations, managing projects from initial planning through on-site execution. Working closely with Sales, Marketing and cross-functional partners, this individual will ensure programs are delivered on time, within budget and with a consistent, high-quality customer experience. The position will also support the Director, Trade Marketing Operations on larger strategic events, including Vision Expo and National Sales Meeting. This role is ideal for an experienced, highly organized and proactive professional who enjoys managing multiple projects, working with vendors and Sales teams, and taking ownership of programs from planning through execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Design, Event Management or a related field; equivalent relevant professional experience will also be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in Trade Marketing, Event Marketing, Experiential Marketing, Field Marketing, Design/Brand Activation or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and executing customer events, trade shows or experiential programs.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience managing vendors, budgets, timelines and event logistics.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with Sales teams, vendors and cross-functional partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid passport required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar tools is a plus.
  • SAP and HubSpot experience are assets.
  • French language proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of Buying Days across the U.S. and Canada.
  • Plan and execute Trunk Shows, Buying Group events, regional customer events and Roadshows.
  • Develop event plans, timelines and budgets from initial brief through completion.
  • Research and recommend venues based on event objectives, location, budget and customer experience.
  • Coordinate venue contracts, catering, entertainment, audiovisual needs and other event vendors.
  • Manage invitations, RSVP processes and attendee communications.
  • Coordinate event materials, promotional items, displays and other required assets with internal partners.
  • Serve as the primary project lead for assigned events and oversee on-site execution.
  • Partner with Sales teams to understand regional needs and develop appropriate customer-facing programs.
  • Conduct post-event follow-up, budget reconciliation and event recaps.
  • Support Trade Marketing programs and commercial initiatives across the U.S. and Canada.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing teams on Buying Group initiatives, customer programs and regional activations.
  • Develop and coordinate customer-facing presentations, invitations, flyers and promotional materials.
  • Coordinate digital communications and HubSpot campaigns as required.
  • Collect and organize marketing and VOS assets for customer and commercial programs.
  • Support brand and commercial marketing initiatives for key accounts and regional programs.
  • Coordinate corporate items, GWP requests and promotional materials supporting customer programs.
  • Partner with the Director, Trade Marketing Operations on major North American events including Vision Expo and National Sales Meeting.
  • Support Retail Market Week and other major Trade Marketing initiatives.
  • Assist with event logistics, vendor coordination, materials, purchasing and on-site execution as needed.
  • Collaborate with the broader Trade Marketing team to ensure consistent execution across programs.
  • Manage assigned project and event budgets.
  • Create Purchase Orders and coordinate invoice processing through SAP.
  • Track spending and maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Manage vendor timelines, deliverables and communication.
  • Identify opportunities to improve event processes, efficiencies and customer experience.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and deadlines.
