This role focuses on the structuring and execution of Trade Finance and Working Capital solutions for BBVA’s Global Corporate Clients. Key responsibilities include managing various financial instruments, preparing internal documentation for approvals, calculating profitability metrics, and acting as an intermediary between clients and the operations team. The role also involves significant reporting duties, including maintaining databases, managing shared drives, and calculating KPIs and P&L. Additionally, there is an element of business development, supporting new product implementation, client relationship management in the U.S., evaluating business opportunities, and providing market intelligence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field.
  • Basic work experience in Banking or related fields with exposure to Corporates and/or Financial Institutions working capital and/or trade finance needs.
  • Basic knowledge in international banking, world economy and financial systems.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suit, and ChatGPT.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both remotely and in the office.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Good analytical and communication skills.
  • Creative thinking with excellent attention to detail.
  • Team player.

Responsibilities

  • Structuring and execution of Trade Finance and Working Capital solutions to BBVA’s Global Corporate Clients, which include but are not limited to: Letters of Credit (issuance, confirmation, advising of Letters of Credit, Stand-By LCs, Documentary Collections, etc.)
  • Receivables/Payables Finance: Supply Chain Finance / Confirming, Receivable Purchase Programs / Factoring / Vendor Factoring, Forfaiting / Structured Forfaiting (discount without recourse of instruments of payment such as LCs, receivables, bills of exchange, promissory notes, etc.)
  • Preparation of internal forms and business memos for internal approvals (credit risk, line management, pricing, legal, etc.).
  • Calculation of internal profitability metrics.
  • Intermediate between the Clients and our Operations team to guarantee the smooth execution of all our deals.
  • Preparation and maintenance of different databases, e.g. opportunities pipeline, historic repository of transactions, client visits, asset projections, etc.
  • Organization and maintenance of shared drives, document coding and application of departmental record retention policy.
  • Calculation of KPIs and P&L reporting.
  • Support the development and implementation of new products and services for our clients.
  • Assist in establishing and managing client relationships in the U.S.
  • Assist in evaluating business opportunities, putting together tailor-made structures and preparing internal proposals under the GTF application model.
  • Participate in the team’s marketing activities by preparing marketing material, including presentations and pitch books, for our clients.
  • Provide market intelligence, conduct independent research on corporate and industry sectors
