The Trade Development Manager is responsible for growing case volume and gross margin within assigned Third Party Operator (3PO), Managed Service or Micro Market account base by retaining and developing existing customers and establishing new customers. This role involves personal selling efforts to increase the Region’s penetration/distribution level at assigned locations and developing programs and promotions to increase sales by expanding product distribution. The manager will partner with internal teams such as Branch Managers, District Managers, Business Development Representatives, and Customer Service Representatives to execute volume building plans. They will also identify and develop relationships with Key Middle and Upper level Managers within the assigned account base by maintaining an account call schedule, and work with the Region Cold Drink Manager to establish and maintain pricing programs. Maintaining awareness of competitive pricing and programs within the channel, assisting the Region Accounting/Finance Team in establishing accruals for Managed Services funding responsibilities, and ensuring the accuracy of Master Data (Account naming conventions, Pricing, Chain Maintenance, Channel Maintenance, and Market Type Maintenance) are also key responsibilities. Reporting includes review and analysis of assigned accounts for case sales and financial data, preparing MTD and YTD reporting, identifying key drivers for case volume and margin, account maintenance, placements, and post promotional analysis.
