The Trade Compliance Specialist, Transportation & Customs Compliance is responsible for managing day-to-day tasks necessary to import and/or export Boehringer Ingelheim's pharmaceutical products while complying with U.S. Customs & Border Protection, FDA and USDA regulations & requirements. Main responsibilities for this role include coordination of international shipments, submitting ISF filings, tracking shipment milestones, managing shipping documentation, processing FTZ shipments, filing export declarations (EEI), managing supply chain security, ensuring customs & trade compliance (customs broker oversight), and verifying customs duties & freight payment. To achieve this core objective, the Trade Compliance Specialist, Transportation & Customs Compliance works closely with internal and external stakeholders, including global colleagues, government officials, freight forwarders, customs brokers and other professionals in the international supply chain. This role is based on-site at our Columbus, OH location with hybrid flexibility of 2-3 days per week on-site.
