Staples is a business-to-business company where Merchandising and Supply Chain teams are crucial for delivering products, services, and solutions. Trade compliance is essential for maintaining an efficient, responsible, and compliant global supply chain. The Project Manager, Trade Compliance, is part of a collaborative, analytically driven team that ensures compliant import operations and mitigates regulatory, financial, and operational risks for Staples. This role specifically supports compliant, timely, and accurate U.S. import operations by leveraging expertise in Customs entry requirements, tariff classification, broker performance, ACE reporting, post-entry activity, duty payment monitoring, and CTPAT program support. As a subject matter expert, this individual will partner with internal teams, Customs brokers, logistics providers, suppliers, and external partners to resolve import issues, reduce compliance risk, and facilitate efficient product flow. The role requires independent judgment, a strong understanding of U.S. Customs regulations, and the ability to manage complex trade compliance workstreams. Collaboration with U.S. Customs attorneys and the Staples Legal team on regulatory and compliance matters is also a key aspect of this position.
