About The Position

CGI Federal Inc. seeks a Trade Compliance Lead with significant experience in trade regulations, compliance, and licensing within the federal government contract sector. The Trade Compliance Lead will report to CGI Federal's Vice President – Legal Compliance and will implement CGI Federal's trade compliance program, serving as the primary point of contact for all trade compliance matters for CGI Federal and its various wholly owned subsidiaries. This position is located in Fairfax, VA.

Requirements

Bachelors' degree or equivalent work experience.
7-10 years of export licensing and compliance experience at a federal government contractor.
Experience with encryption software classification.
Experience applying for licenses.
Experience filing documents with Customs.
Knowledge of both the ITAR and the EAR.
Knowledge of OFAC regulations.
Demonstrated ability to integrate with and support business operations.
Ability to multitask and work across functional lines.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must have excellent references.
Ability to obtain a government security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of Foreign Ownership, Control, or Influence (FOCI) requirements.
Working knowledge of personal protective equipment exports.
Working knowledge of Foreign Military Sales (FMS).

Responsibilities

Lead the day to day management of the Trade Compliance Department to ensure adherence to trade compliance policies, procedures, and best practices.
Manage export authorizations in accordance with the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Apply for export licensing.
Ensure certification of exemptions/exceptions.
Classify products and programs for export classification.
File documents with Customs.
Ensure OFAC compliance.
Conduct restricted party screening.
Develop annual training and policies and procedures.
Implement an internal monitoring/audit program.
Provide guidance to programs.
