About The Position

As a Trade Compliance Analyst, you’ll be part of our Global Trade Compliance team working as a remote employee. You’ll get to ensure import transactions are executed in compliance with all applicable international trade regulations. This role involves conducting audits to ensure accurate declarations with various tools and software, and reviewing and assessing U.S. customs entries & declarations for accuracy and compliance with import regulations. You will engage Engineering, Purchasing, and other departments to streamline the collection of critical data, and compare and verify country of origin information received from businesses for certain products and projects. This position supports information requests between Trade Compliance and business stakeholders for external reviews, and provides analytical support related to CBP Requests for Information, Post-Summary Corrections, Protests, etc. You will also generate reports and metrics pertaining to various elements of the import process and projects, gather entry data from multiple sources, cleanse data and verify accuracy, and analyze data to identify trends, patterns and insights. Findings will be presented in a clear and compelling way utilizing data visualization tools. Critical thinking skills will be used to understand root causes to resolve data discrepancies related to import transactions. The role provides support for other compliance related activities within the department in accordance with SBD policies, ensuring consistency and compliance. You will monitor and ensure that Importer Security Filings (ISF) are filed timely and accurately, and continuously strive to improve business processes. The ideal candidate is able to receive and apply feedback to enhance performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in international business, supply chain or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in international trade/customs environment required.
  • Knowledge of US Customs regulations and import entry process.
  • Proficient with current Microsoft Office programs.
  • Detail oriented, with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and on teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task varied projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across multi-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic; accepts accountability and responsibility for actions.

  • Intermediate Excel proficiency preferred.
