About The Position
This role involves performing comprehensive repairs on tractors and trailers, including preventative maintenance, tire services, and troubleshooting complex issues related to diesel engines, transmissions, clutches, air brakes, ABS systems, and electrical problems.
Requirements
- Be able to diagnose and repair tractors and trailers
- Be able to work independently and efficiently
- Be able to work overtime when needed
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of hands-on diesel mechanic experience
- Must have own hand tools
- Clean driving record
- Valid Driver’s License required for test drives and parts runs
Nice To Haves
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Responsibilities
- Bumper to bumper tractor and trailer repair
- Performing PMs and tire service (dismount and mount) on trucks and trailers
- Troubleshoot problems on diesel engines, transmissions, clutches, air brakes, ABS brakes, air systems and electrical problems
