About The Position
Goodwill Central Texas is looking for a skilled and safety-focused CDL driver to join our team as a Tractor Trailer Driver. This role is crucial for transporting goods that support our life-changing programs and services. Requirements
- Age: 21+
- License: Valid Texas Class A CDL and current DOT Medical Card
- Experience: Proven ability to operate a tractor trailer safely and efficiently
- Communication: Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs., stand, bend, and twist for up to 8 hours
- Must be comfortable working in non-climate-controlled environments
- Pre-employment drug screening and road test
- Annual DOT drug test
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A tractor trailer across designated routes
- Load, secure, and protect cargo, including donations, retail goods, and raw materials
- Maintain clear, consistent communication with dispatch
- Complete all required paperwork, including vehicle logs and inspection reports
- Conduct daily maintenance checks and report any issues promptly
- Uphold all safety and operational protocols
- Represent Goodwill Central Texas with professionalism and customer service excellence
