1st Shift - Tractor Driver (York, SC)
About The Position
As a Tractor Driver you will be required to undergo training to skillfully operate tractors responsible for pulling trailers in tasks such as loading, supporting production lines, and various other farm activities. Adaptability is crucial, as individuals may be required to transition between different teams as needed, potentially within the same day. Proficiency in understanding the importance of efficient movement from one point to another is essential to minimize idle time. A strong commitment to safety is imperative throughout all operational activities.
Requirements
- Experience operating farm tractors or similar heavy equipment is preferred.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks to company standards.
- Must be dedicated to adhering to safety protocols and practices.
- Good communicator and work well across multiple departments.
- Fluency to read, write, and understand the English language is required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in operating any outdoor equipment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate farm tractors to perform various tasks as assigned.
- Efficiently carry out tractor-related duties to contribute to overall farm productivity.
- Complete a daily startup equipment checklist to ensure proper functioning and address any issues promptly.
- Follow instructions provided by Managers and/or Team Leaders to execute tasks accurately and timely.
- Maintain clear and open communication with team members to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach and take direction effectively to meet operational goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
