About The Position

Daytona International Speedway is seeking a talented professional to join their team as a Track Maintenance in Daytona Beach, FL. This position will support DIS racing events, track rentals, and other events as directed. The role involves performing routine preventative maintenance and repair procedures on the racetrack and related infrastructure, operating equipment and using tools as directed, and maintaining the overall condition of the track, buildings, other facilities, and grounds. Basic knowledge of office systems, including computer systems and programs, 2-way radios, and cellular phones is required. Microsoft Office suite knowledge is preferred.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Valid Florida driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

Microsoft Office suite knowledge preferred (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Preference will be given to candidates who hold a valid CDL license.

Responsibilities

Assist in executing DIS events – major races, track rentals, other events.
Assemble and disassemble track equipment such as track gates, barricades, portable bleachers, etc.
Use all types of power tools and large equipment including forklift, front end loader, backhoe, bucket truck.
Perform preventive building maintenance duties.
Clean, repair, lubricate and maintain equipment, tools and machinery used for construction jobs.
Use saws, hammer, nails and bolts for framing.
Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, compact and level earth to grade specifications using equipment, picks, or shovels.
Perform light electrical, plumbing, drywall and carpentry repairs.
Participate in general cleaning, painting, and repair work.
Other duties as assigned.
