Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Facilities Maintenance experience in hospitality or related field, or groundskeeping/landscaping experience preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a valid state Driver’s License.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to use all equipment associated with the position in a proper and safe manner.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive approach to dealing with issues.

Nice To Haves

Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and basic finishing a plus.

Responsibilities

Adheres to all departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
Assumes responsibility for maintenance of the racetrack and racing grounds.
Maintains the appearance of the track to meet required standards; maintains plants, trees, and shrubs and applies chemicals as needed, under supervision.
Operates a variety of vehicles, machinery, and equipment to include tractor, pick-up truck, and power and manual maintenance tools.
Performs a variety of grounds maintenance duties to include weed treatment, painting, trash collection, and operating of irrigation systems.
Performs preventative maintenance as needed; cares for and maintains all light and heavy equipment.
Notifies higher level management of any suspicious or unusual activity in a timely manner.
Attends and participates in professional group meetings; maintains awareness of new trends and innovations in the field of track and ground maintenance.
Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.
