About The Position

The Track Maintenance Worker performs racetrack maintenance duties; operates a variety of equipment in support of a well maintained race track and grounds; provides routine labor support duties to higher level management staff; and performs related tasks within area of assignment. This role is responsible for the maintenance of the racetrack and racing grounds, ensuring a high standard of appearance. The position involves operating various machinery and tools for grounds maintenance, including weed treatment, painting, trash collection, and irrigation systems. Additionally, the worker performs preventative maintenance on equipment and reports any suspicious activity to management. The role also requires attending professional meetings to stay updated on industry trends.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED, with some grounds and maintenance experience
Ability to maintain all Regulatory licenses within assigned state of employment
Must successfully pass background check
Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening
Must be twenty-one (21) years of age
Must be willing to work a variety of shifts to include swing shifts and holidays if needed

Maintains the appearance of the track to maintain required standards.
Maintains plants, trees and shrubs and applies chemicals as needed under supervision.
Operates a variety of vehicles, machinery and equipment to include tractor, pick-up truck, and a variety of hand power and manual maintenance tools.
Performs a variety of grounds maintenance duties to include weed treatment, painting, trash collection and operating of irrigation systems.
Performs preventative maintenance as needed.
Cares and maintains all light and heavy equipment.
Notifies higher level management of any suspicious or unusual activity and/or transactions in a timely manner.
Attends and participates in professional group meetings.
Maintains awareness of new trends and innovations in the field of track and ground maintenance.
Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.
