The Eglinton Crosstown West Extension will bring the Eglinton Crosstown LRT another 9.2 kilometers farther west, creating a continuous rapid transit line from the east end of Toronto into Mississauga. The Stations, Rail, and Systems (SRS) package encompasses the design, construction, integration, and commissioning of key project components. TRP has a current vacancy for a TPSS Construction Lead who will be responsible for planning, the field execution, mechanical/electrical installation, and construction delivery of all Traction Power Substations across the ECWE corridor. The role ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant installation of TPSS equipment and associated electrical infrastructure in accordance with project requirements, approved designs, applicable standards and schedule commitments. The TPSS Construction Lead serves as the primary field representative for TPSS construction works, coordinating with contractors, designers, utilities, systems suppliers, and commissioning teams to ensure successful delivery of all traction power assets through installation, testing, energization and handover. This role directly manages the field subcontractors, ensures civil foundations are ready for heavy equipment drops, coordinates high-voltage utility grid connections with local power authorities (e.g., Toronto Hydro / Hydro One), and drives the physical build to a safe and successful handover for testing and commissioning.
