About The Position

Responsible for implementing plant maintenance, mechanical integrity, reliability, turnaround planning, and capital/project execution processes for a PSM-covered chemical manufacturing facility. This role combines equipment integrity ownership, inspection and compliance management, turnaround/outage planning, contractor coordination, project management, and facility infrastructure support. The position works closely with maintenance, operations, engineering, inspectors, vendors, and contractors to ensure safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective plant operations.

Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance, mechanical integrity, reliability engineering, turnaround coordination, project management, or related industrial roles.
  • Experience in chemical, petrochemical, refining, manufacturing, or other PSM-regulated environments preferred.
  • Working knowledge of fixed equipment inspection programs and mechanical integrity requirements.
  • Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • ERP/CMMS systems such as SAP, Oracle, Chempax, or Maximo.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, P&IDs, schematics, equipment files, and technical documentation.
  • Project planning, scheduling, procurement, and cost tracking.
  • Inspection management and maintenance program administration.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Organization and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and sustain maintenance, mechanical integrity, and reliability programs using RAGAGEP principles and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) Mechanical Integrity requirements and support internal/external audits.
  • Develop procedures, programs, training materials, and documentation to maintain regulatory and company compliance.
  • Maintain equipment design records, inspection records, preventive maintenance programs, and asset documentation.
  • Serve as equipment owner for fixed assets including vessels, piping, pressure safety valves, tanks, HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, air compressor systems, containment systems, and drainage infrastructure.
  • Review inspection results, evaluate equipment deficiencies, and develop engineering recommendations and corrective action plans.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance and inspection schedules, track compliance metrics, and eliminate delinquent inspections.
  • Lead turnaround and outage planning activities for unit outages and Total Plant Outages (TPOs).
  • Develop work scopes, schedules, bid packages, RFQs, and execution plans for maintenance and capital projects.
  • Coordinate contractors, vendors, inspection resources, maintenance personnel, and operations teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Manage project procurement activities, materials, equipment, and cost controls.
  • Support daily maintenance planning and scheduling activities.
  • Monitor project performance, budgets, schedules, inventories, and contractor productivity.
  • Provide technical support for facility improvements, reliability initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Participate in field execution activities and provide hands-on leadership during outages and critical projects.
  • Support contractor services, inspection programs, and mechanical integrity initiatives throughout the facility.
