About The Position

Toyota is the global leader in cumulative sales and is a top automaker in terms of revenue and vehicle sales. This role involves selling the best automotive product in the world. The position requires initiating contact with potential customers, understanding their needs, learning the Toyota product line, presenting vehicle features, developing customer relationships, closing sales, and ensuring customer satisfaction with the vehicle and paperwork. The role also involves continuous learning about products and the industry, participating in sales meetings and training, and maintaining a follow-up system for repeat business and referrals.

Requirements

  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently in a competitive sales environment.
  • Ability to accurately process detailed information in a fast-paced setting.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
  • Must be able to maintain regular attendance
  • Must be reliable and able to demonstrate good work ethic
  • Must possess High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Must obtain vehicle salespersons license, or be able to obtain vehicle salespersons license
  • Valid Driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States

  • Previous sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate contact and engage potential customer to understand their interest and ability to purchase.
  • Determine customers’ needs by asking questions and listening.
  • Learn Toyota’s entire product line and professionally present vehicle features and capabilities, as well as comparing and contrasting competitive models.
  • Develop buyers by maintaining contact with previous and new customers; also, by suggesting trade-ins; respond to inquiries; recommend sales campaigns and promotions.
  • Close sales by overcoming objection(s); complete sales or leases; explain provisions; offer services, warranties and basic financing knowledge.
  • Refer customers to Sales Manager and Finance Department as appropriate.
  • Maintain current job knowledge of product and industry by participating in educational opportunities, attending seminars and reading professional publications.
  • Ensure customers understand the vehicle’s operating features, paperwork and warranty.
  • Establish and maintain follow-up system, which encourages repeat business and referrals.
  • Participates in sales meetings and training provided to you.
