The position requires the candidate to be located in the Denver Metro or surrounding area due to commuting to their Aurora, CO location. The role is responsible for assisting in the erection, construction, and/or maintenance of wireless towers, ensuring all work adheres to safety and quality guidelines.

Requirements

  • No experience required. We will train the right person!
  • Located in the Denver Metro or surrounding area.
  • Successful completion of safety in rigging coursework required.
  • Successful completion of industrial first aid and rescue training and possess a competent climber card.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, piping diagrams, job specifications, mounting specs, testing procedures, etc.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment on the crew and be a valued member of the team and the company.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background and drug test.
  • Communicate in person, by phone and radio with supervisor, foreman and co-workers.
  • Must work in a team environment participating in tailboards throughout the day.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.
  • Must be able to work with a team, and independently as required.
  • Have tool knowledge.
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

Nice To Haves

  • A plus to know how to read and understand drawings, piping diagrams, job specifications, mounting specs, testing procedures, etc.
  • Ability to operate aerial lifts, man lifts and aerial platform equipment a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license is a plus.
  • Related trade school education preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work on tower top, overseeing all aspects of work to ensure a safe, quality installation, including rigging, hoisting, landing, and fastening.
  • Install up-top equipment such as masts, clamps, bracing, supports, antennas, RRUs, and cabling. Assist in shooting proper azimuth within tolerances, labeling, picture-taking, and documentation. Gather all closeout documents.
  • At the instruction of the Tower Lead, perform coax, fiber, lines, and hybrid cable installation, connector installation, sweep and testing assistance, weatherproofing, color-coding, and labeling. Connect coax feedlines and jumpers per piping diagrams, ensuring adequate support and fastening for a quality installation.
  • Perform grounding, terminations, fastening, proper bolting and antioxidant use, support of leads, and cadwelding as required.
  • Assist on overall job groundwork, including all tasks required to build and install a site per customer specifications. Maintain a safe work environment, complete daily JSA forms, assist with overall crew work, and maintain vehicles and equipment.
  • Continue to work towards training and certifications for tower-related work.
  • Assist in the installation of all tower-related aspects of wireless cell sites.
  • Ensure the highest level of safety and quality control requirements are upheld.
  • Assist in the assembly of monopole, self-support guyed towers, and rooftops.
  • Assist in transmission line and installation.
  • Responsible for tool inventory and upkeep daily on the job site.
  • Other duties as assigned.
