The Tower Foreman supervises and performs construction duties on a daily basis on telecommunication sites. This role involves supervising subcontractors and job site personnel to complete the scope of work assigned, with a strong emphasis on following instructions and completing jobs safely and efficiently. The position requires a full understanding of job scope, methods, and procedures, as well as the ability to write detailed Method of Procedures (MOPs). The Foreman is responsible for scheduling, directing, and planning the work of assigned employees, determining proper project techniques, and maintaining job records. They will collaborate with the Superintendent or Construction Manager to identify necessary materials, equipment, and tools, and must be able to read and build according to design site plans and layouts. Budget control, data management in company and customer tools, and ensuring the safety and security of employees and assets are key aspects of this role. The Foreman will also perform inspections, troubleshoot installations, capture closeout packages, and assist in handling employee complaints, grievances, discipline, and probation according to company policy. A critical responsibility is ensuring crew safety, compliance with safety requirements, and inspecting tools and rigging gear. The role also includes reporting incidents, performing related physical and administrative tasks, understanding hazards associated with tower climbing and construction, and possessing certifications with test equipment.
