Requirements

  • Safety is a part of your day-to-day.

  • A high school diploma or a general education degree (GED).
  • A minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in construction skills, rigging, safety, and general industry knowledge.
  • A working knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
  • Possession of job-related certifications, like First Aid, Safety, Rescue, Wiltron, Anritsu, Fiber, PIM, CPR, and Connector attachment.
  • Organizational, computer, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret site plans, RFDS, construction drawings, and SOW.
  • A valid driver’s license and driving record meeting the company's policy conditions.
  • Ability to maintain FDOT log books (Training will be provided).
  • Ability to lead, teach, and train proper work and safety procedures.
  • Ability to recognize and provide a safe work site with acceptable quality and efficiency.
  • Must be able to provide, record, and manage paperwork (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Must be fit and in good physical condition.
  • Must have the ability to climb towers, be able to pick up 50 lbs., and be capable of working up to 12 hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Owning a NWSA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the daily site construction work efforts to ensure the crew meets production goals determined by leadership.
  • Understanding and implementing MasTec Communications Group (MNS) Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies (Safety Manual).
  • Understanding and implementing Industry standards (OSHA, TIA10-48, NATE CTS, and ANSI).
  • Ensuring safety requirements at your sites and with your crew.
  • Overseeing the daily operations and quality of work performed at assigned sites.
  • Maintaining daily paperwork required for the site and the crew.
  • Implementing and following through with job instructions provided by leadership.
  • Compiling all site-specific closeout documentation for your work effort.
  • Uploading closeout documentation to customer interfaces.
  • Coordinating with the customer representative for site-related activities and maintaining a good working relationship with the customer representative.
  • Providing leadership, guidance, and actively training/promoting learning to all crew members.
  • Maintaining equipment and vehicles in an operational condition.
  • Validating daily timesheets for Management.
  • Serving as a mentor to new, less experienced technicians.
  • Other duties as assigned.
