About The Position

As a Tower Stack/Mod crew foreman operating out of our Mooresville, IN office, you will be responsible for site management duties that include tower and ground operations and related responsibilities in accordance with OSHA safety guidelines. Every day, you will interact with customers, other vendors and subcontractors, complete necessary paperwork, and communicate with the construction manager about work progress and known issues. You will also review and approve your crew's work, providing training, guidance, and work leadership necessary to maximize safety and productivity, minimize costs, and maintain quality. This crew foreman position will work primarily on tower stacks and tower modification projects. We prefer a person capable and well-versed gin pole operation to stack towers. Ability to run a crew or help a crew with, tower maintenance and inspections, antenna and line installation and required RF testing are a plus though not the primary focus of this position.

Requirements

  • Climb towers and work at heights up to 500 feet.
  • Perform manual labor in outdoor environments.
  • Possess basic computer skills.
  • Complete/submit paperwork and closeout documents by required deadlines.
  • Experience in the tower/telecommunications industry.
  • Ability to travel extensively with frequent overtime and some evening and weekend work.
  • Ability to train technicians on all positions and provide developmental training opportunities for technicians wishing to advance in the company.
  • Ability to successfully manage jobs within the required timeframe and approved budget.
  • Ability to effectively resolve issues in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to complete daily paperwork and submit prior to firm deadlines.
  • Ability to track and report primary and ancillary material use, manage and order inventory, and document maintenance of all equipment.
  • Ability to schedule and complete inspections with demonstrated ability to maintain quality control standards.
  • Demonstrate Understanding of practical rigging skills for gin pole operation, including Standard Chicago Rig to stack self-support towers.
  • Demonstrated understanding of operation of double drum winch to stack guyed towers and self-support.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Monopole and stealth tower stacking.
  • Demonstrated understanding of all types of tower structural modification and industry best practices for installation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of tower foundation modifications and industry best practices for installation.
  • Ability to represent the company well communicating with third party vendors for CWI, PMI, special inspections and A&E firms on site.
  • Understand the necessity of EOR approval of engineered changes to modification design prior to proceeding with any construction of proposed design changes.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, SA, Modification drawings, Tower Drawings and RFDS.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to qualify as an approved company driver.
  • Advanced knowledge of OSHA safety and quality guidelines, relevant tools and equipment, and commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the telecommunications construction field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of crane signals.
  • Ability to perform rescues.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Demonstrated understanding of safe/proper complex rigging procedures, working load limits, tower precon, and advanced cathead knowledge.
  • Knowledge of rigging and mounting procedures for all antennas and equipment.
  • Ability to complete JSAs, conduct tailgate meetings, and run a tiger team.
  • Ability to drive a truck and trailer and back it up competently.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and respectfully, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to pass required pre-employment processes, including a background check, DOT inspection, and drug screen.
  • Competent Rigging and Climbing Certification.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • TTT1 certification.
  • Connector training.
  • First Aid/CPR training/certification.
  • Blood Bourn Pathogens.
  • Ability to obtain a DOT physical card.

Nice To Haves
