About The Position

Stepp’s Towing & Heavy Transport is expanding its Orlando team and seeking Light Duty Tow Truck Operators. We value positive attitudes, strong customer service skills, and effective problem-solving abilities. This role involves responding to accidents, breakdowns, and roadside incidents, communicating with motorists, performing basic repairs or towing vehicles, safely loading vehicles onto the truck, and removing illegally parked vehicles. The company is a family-owned business since 1960, specializing in light-, medium-, and heavy-duty towing, heavy transport, and auto salvage, serving the greater Tampa Bay and Orlando areas.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial motor vehicle driving experience required
Current DOT Medical Card required before the 1st day of work
Clean driving record required for at least the past 3 years
MUST be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test
Registered in the DOT Clearinghouse (For CDL holders only)

Nice To Haves

Prior towing experience or related field preferred but not required! We will train you to operate the tow truck!

Responsibilities

Respond efficiently to accidents, breakdowns, and roadside incidents
Maintain communication with motorists while en route
Perform basic repairs or tow vehicles to repair facilities as needed
Safely load vehicles onto your truck
Remove illegally parked vehicles as required
