As we continue to grow, we’re looking for motivated individuals to join us and make a meaningful impact in the recycling industry. We are seeking a reliable Part-Time Tow Truck Operator for weeknight and weekend daytime shifts. In this role, you'll safely operate a tow truck to pick up end-of-life vehicles for recycling and assist with bin deliveries and scrap metal collection throughout the Ottawa region. Please note, this is not roadside assistance you'll be picking up vehicles for scrap and delivering bins as required. The wage for this position is $30.00/hour.

Requirements

3+ years of commercial driving experience
Valid G Class license required; DZ preferred
Clean driving record and clear criminal background check
Candidates must possess a valid Tow Truck Operator Certificate
Knowledge of MTO regulations, CVOR, load securement, and pre-trip inspections
Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
Availability to work weeknight shifts (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) and weekend shifts (8:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
Reliable transportation to and from work

Responsibilities

Safely operate tow trucks while following all traffic laws and safety procedures
Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage in transit
Conduct pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections and report issues promptly
Deliver professional, courteous service to customers in high-stress situations
Stay in close contact with dispatch for smooth, on-time pickups
Keep accurate records of vehicle details and job documentation
Evaluate job sites for public safety and environmental concerns
