About The Position

Our Tow Truck Drivers are responsible for assisting and retrieving vehicles that are unable to drive themselves due to accidents or breakdowns, which includes driving to the scene, assessing the vehicle's damage, securely attaching it to the tow truck, and transporting it to a designated location like a repair shop or impound lot; they may also provide minor roadside assistance like jump-starting batteries or changing flat tires while ensuring the safety of all involved parties.

Requirements

  • Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
  • Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics to assess damage and perform minor repairs
  • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects, including towing equipment
  • Professional demeanor when interacting with stranded motorists
  • Ability to assess situations quickly and make decisions to safely tow vehicles

Responsibilities

  • Responding to calls: Driving to the location of a disabled vehicle, whether due to an accident or mechanical failure.
  • Vehicle assessment: Evaluating the damage to the disabled vehicle to determine the best towing method.
  • Secure attachment: Properly attaching the vehicle to the tow truck using appropriate equipment.
  • Safe towing: Transporting the towed vehicle safely to the designated location, following traffic laws and road regulations.
  • Roadside assistance (may include): Providing minor repairs like jump-starting batteries, changing flat tires, or delivering fuel.
  • Documentation: Completing necessary paperwork related to towing services, including incident reports.
  • Vehicle maintenance: Regularly inspecting and maintaining the tow truck and towing equipment.
