Tow Boat Pilot

Welcome TechMemphis, TN
$500 - $575Onsite

About The Position

You'll run the boat. As a Tow Boat Pilot, you're responsible for the safe, efficient operation of your vessel, your tow, and your crew as you move barges and support loading and unloading along the river. You set the standard onboard — for safety, for the work, and for the people you lead. This is a licensed, senior role for a mariner who already knows how to handle a towing vessel and wants to captain one. This is real on-the-water, outdoor work. You'll be on a vessel in all conditions, handling rigging that weighs up to 100 lbs, climbing steep stairs, and standing or sitting for long stretches. It's physically demanding and safety-critical — the right person takes pride in running a tight, safe boat and looking out for their crew. If that's you, you'll do well here.
