About The Position

Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of Tourism Project Manager I. This limited-term agreement position has been approved through 6/30/2027 and may be eligible for renewal based on need and performance in the role.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field
• 2 years of relevant experience in the related field
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
• Arizona Driver's License
• Town of Gilbert employees are required to reside in the state of Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Support outreach to businesses and related training programs
• Monitor tourism business growth, promotions, events, and related needs of merchants and event operators
• Develop and maintain relationships with youth and amateur sports tournament operators, meeting planners, and industry peers
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors on tourism development and marketing projects
• Assist in the maintenance of discovergilbert.com, social media accounts, online resources, printed fulfillment pieces, and business listings
