About The Position

Toonie Tours is looking for Tour Guides to join their team in Toronto, Ontario. This is a freelance, contractor position primarily hiring people available for part-time or seasonal full-time work, often on weekends. The main responsibility is to lead groups of 5-30 customers on entertaining and engaging tours of the community. Toonie Tours uses a performance-based compensation model and seeks individuals who love Canada and are knowledgeable about their communities.

Physically fit (can manage 5 km of walking in 3 hours, while speaking and presenting).
Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Experience in a similar role is preferred.
Additional languages (French, Spanish, German, Russian, Italia, Portuguese) are welcome.

Responsibilities

Learn, research, design, and personalize tours and stories for authentic presentation.
Meet, welcome, and lead tour groups of 5-30 customers.
Provide local recommendations and tips for travelers.
Represent Toonie Tours, the community, and tour guides to the public.
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
