About The Position

Under the general direction of the Sanitation and Special Projects Manager, this position will work closely with the production department and warehouse staff. The role ensures the consistent quality of the tote wash service process by enforcing good automated manufacturing practices (GAMP) systems, providing documentation, and following processes as per SOP.

Requirements

• Minimum five (5) years industry experience in cleaning and sanitation.
• Self-motivated with proven leadership skills.
• Must perform job duties efficiently and safely.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to work extended hours, additional days in a week, and flexible shifts with short notice schedule changes.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and dismantle tote washing equipment including valves, pipes, and pumps for sanitation service at the end of the tote wash production shift.
• Wash and sanitize totes, collapsible bins, and ventilated bins to ensure safe and excellent quality of tote wash service.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
• Read and follow detailed chemical label instructions for sanitation programs and SOP’s.
• Proper handling and usage of chemicals.
• Follow PPE practices when handling chemicals and using compressed air if applicable.
• Perform Good Sanitation Practices (GSP’s) when handling and working with or around equipment.
• Perform analysis of cleaner strengths on CIP 75 and sanitizers used in the tote, bin sanitation process.
• Report equipment that is damaged, shows wear, or needs replacement to a Supervisor or Team Leader.
• Document tote and bin service counts, tote wash CIP 75, and disinfectant dilution PPMs.
• Perform periodic sanitation duties.
• Operate CIP systems to clean the tote washer on a weekly basis.
• Perform all required observations and training timely and as scheduled.
• Be willing and able to cross-train on all sanitation responsibilities.
• Support Plant Sanitation and Quality Systems.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Team Leader, Supervisor, and Manager.
• Follow FSQ requirements such as GMP’s and other daily job-specific duties to support QRMP.
