About The Position

This position uses the Trimble Total Station equipment to locate points on a job site that will be used to construct projects accurately. The role is part of the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) department and reports to the Director of Virtual Construction & Prefabrication. The compensation for this role ranges from $34.00 to $46.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

  • Requires at least 3 years of electrical construction experience including reading and interpreting drawings.
  • Requires a basic understanding of AutoCAD and computer skills
  • Has valid Journeyman’s License.
  • Knowledge of Robotic Total Station
  • Knowledge of CAD/BIM as it relates to shooting points with the Total Station
  • Knowledge of Electronic File management
  • Knowledge of Constructability and the construction process
  • Knowledge of Electrical construction
  • Knowledge of Geometry
  • Knowledge of Site safety rules

Nice To Haves

  • Input own point files together needed using CAD knowledge
  • Maintain point files in an orderly manner on the computer system
  • Using points generated from the CAD file, Total Station operator inputs that information into the handheld equipment and uses that to shoot the points in the field
