Total Quality Lead - 2nd Shift
About The Position
Operates or directs other workers to operate mixing machine to blend ingredients into compounds for processing by performing the following duties: Other duties may be assigned. Collects the production paperwork and electronic pad and accessories for Batch Master. Verifies the production room has been sanitized and swabbed. Verifies the temperature, consistency, salt, and/or color of the product. Verifies the calibration of load cells. Verifies ingredients prior to the start of the batch mixing. Cleans and sanitizes mixing tanks, kettles, pick system, pumps, pipes, blenders and/or hoppers. Sets an example for all employees in the areas of personnel and food safety. Immediately relays any problems or concerns with product to the Department Supervisor. Performs job duties of the Process Techs in their absence.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
- Basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer.
- Lift 50 pounds 100-200 times during the shift
- Stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift
- Use hands to finger, grip, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
- Talk and hear
- Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
