About The Position

This role involves reviewing and monitoring total loss claim inventory to ensure timely handling and resolution. The supervisor will assign and distribute new total loss claims, provide guidance and technical support to adjusters on vehicle valuations, settlement calculations, title issues, and coverage questions. Responsibilities include reviewing claim files for quality, accuracy, compliance, and adherence to company procedures, approving settlement authority within established limits, and handling escalations from customers, attorneys, lienholders, and regulatory bodies. The position requires monitoring key performance metrics, conducting claim audits, assisting adjusters with negotiations, overseeing title processing and salvage disposition, and coordinating with various vendors and internal departments. Ensuring compliance with state regulations and company guidelines is crucial. The supervisor will also conduct team meetings, provide coaching and feedback, assist with training new adjusters, track staffing needs, prepare departmental metrics for management, and participate in process improvement initiatives. This role serves as the primary point of contact for complex total loss claims.

Requirements

  • 5 years of P&C insurance background
  • Minimum of 3 years total loss claims handling
  • Significant knowledge of repair and total loss techniques and statutory requirements
  • Spanish-English bilingual proficiency
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Responsibilities

  • Oversee title processing, salvage disposition, and lienholder payoff activities to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate with appraisal vendors, salvage vendors, valuation providers, and internal departments as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, company guidelines, and documentation standards.
  • Conduct team meetings to communicate department updates, performance expectations, and process changes.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Assist with training and onboarding of new total loss adjusters.
  • Track staffing needs, productivity trends, and workload distribution to support operational goals.
  • Prepare and report departmental metrics and trends to management.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, customer experience, and claim outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for complex total loss claims requiring supervisory involvement.
