About The Position

The Electrified Powertrain Controls Specialist serves as a technical leader within the PRC Electrified Propulsion Controls CoE, driving the development strategy, architecture, and delivery of advanced electrified powertrain systems. The ideal candidate is a recognized control-systems expert with deep knowledge of electrified propulsion and the ability to define system-level strategies across multiple programs.

The role is responsible for defining control architectures, leading complex system integration, and driving innovation in torque coordination, energy optimization, thermal management, charging strategies, diagnostics, and advanced control approaches.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 8 years of experience in controls/software engineering.
• Recognized expertise in propulsion control systems.
• Proven leadership in delivering production systems.
• Strong influence across organizations.

Responsibilities

• Define control strategies and architecture at the system and vehicle level.
• Lead development and integration across multiple programs, including STLA, BEV, REEV, and HEV.
• Drive complex algorithm design and optimization.
• Ensure robustness through the full V-cycle (MIL/SIL/HIL/vehicle).
• Lead resolution of critical issues and crisis situations.
• Define standards, methods, and best practices.
• Drive innovation in advanced control and AI/optimization approaches.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and coaching.
• Interface with leadership and global stakeholders.
