About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Torch Cutter to join our steel warehouse team. This role involves using an oxy-fuel cutting torch to cut steel to specific sizes, preparing materials for further processing, and assisting with general warehouse duties. The ideal candidate will have previous torch cutting experience and a strong understanding of safety protocols in a warehouse environment.
Requirements
- Previous torch cutting experience
- Must be able to accurately read a tape measure
- Able to perform physical work throughout the shift
- Dependable with strong safety awareness
Nice To Haves
- Steel warehouse, scrap yard, fabrication, or metalworking experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Use an oxy-fuel cutting torch to cut steel to required sizes
- Measure, mark, and prepare steel for cutting
- Handle and move heavy steel materials
- Assist with general steel warehouse duties as needed
- Maintain a safe and organized work area
