About The Position

The Tools and Parts Attendant is responsible for all tools, equipment and shop assets including the security, management and positive control through inventory and company procedures. This role assists with maintaining the tool room and equipment in a neat and orderly manner, helps ensure the FOD and Tool Control program is enforced throughout the facility, and ensures all equipment is accounted for using the tool and equipment asset control database. The attendant also assists with the consumable asset program, inspects equipment regularly for serviceability and maintainability, and ensures safe operations and a viable preventive maintenance program are executed. They maintain control of the tool room, issue tools, HazMat, and supplies to production personnel, identify and procure shortfalls, and actively manage the tool serviceability program. The role adheres to all company operating procedures and quality management system requirements, assists with preparing facility and equipment for audits, and performs other duties as required by the Hangar Operations Manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
1+ years of relevant experience
Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of advance software applications is preferred.
Preference will be given to Calista shareholders and their descendants and to spouses of Calista shareholders, and to shareholders of other corporations created pursuant to the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, in accordance with Title 43 U.S. Code 1626(g).

Responsibilities

Assists with maintaining the tool room and equipment in a neat and orderly manner.
Help ensure the FOD and Tool Control program is enforced throughout the facility.
Ensures all equipment is accounted for using the tool and equipment asset control database.
Assists with the consumable asset program and ensures adequate resources are available to support operations.
Inspects equipment regularly to ensure serviceability and maintainability.
Ensures safe operations throughout the facility.
Ensures a viable preventive maintenance program is executed to extend equipment service life and promote safe operation.
Maintains control of tool room, issues tools, HazMat, and supplies to production personnel.
Identifies and procures shortfalls and actively manages the tool serviceability program.
Adheres to all company operating procedures and quality management system requirements.
Assists with preparing facility and equipment for semi-annual third-party audits.
Other duties as required by the Hangar Operations Manager.
