In this tools-focused role, you will be at the forefront of developing automation and support applications for world-class GPS receivers, directly influencing the performance and safety of numerous aircraft platforms. You will own the full software development lifecycle, championing scalable architectures and solving complex engineering challenges that shape the future of defense aviation technology.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated expertise in requirements-driven Modular Structured Software architecture and design concepts.
  • 5 + years of Software Engineering experience building PC desktop applications using Visual Studio .NET and programming Languages: C++ or C# and Python 3.x.
  • Familiarity with Configuration Management (CM) tools, processes, and software build/release systems.
  • Database Management: Experience designing and interfacing with relational databases.
  • GUI Development: Proven track record of implementing user-friendly Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs).
  • Experience in one or more of the following: product test automation, device driver development, hardware verification, or in any other similar field.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with software processes frameworks such as CMMI, DO-178 and development processes such as Waterfall, Iterative Spiral, or Agile.
  • Experience with Visual Basic.

Responsibilities

  • Define and champion a maintainable architecture for a diverse family of command, control, and data analysis applications.
  • Spearhead innovative projects from initial conceptualization and proposals through design validation and manufacturing launch.
  • Partner with systems, hardware, and software teams to translate complex requirements into seamless, high-performance implementations.
  • Ensure all applications meet rigorous documentation and process quality standards while solving complex manufacturing and engineering challenges.
