About The Position

Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa Subsidiary is hiring a Toolroom Attendant for 1st Shift in our plant located in Steele, AL. As a Toolroom Attendant, you'll be responsible for accurate receiving, storage, issuing, and tracking of bolts, fasteners, and related materials. This role ensures that inventory is well organized, available when needed, and handled in accordance with company standards and safety procedures. Additionally, they may deliver tools or equipment to workers, manually or using hand truck. Meyer Utility Structures is a proud subsidiary of the infrastructure company, Arcosa, Inc. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Prior experience in stockroom, inventory, or warehouse operations.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use inventory tracking systems.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow procedures with attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive standing, walking and bending.

Responsibilities

  • Support the production Department's efforts to produce the negotiated workload.
  • Receives, stores and issues hand tools, machines tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies, measuring devices, hazardous material and equipment in an industrial environment.
  • Maintains files of documents used and prepared while compiling records of tools and hazardous material. Maintain stockroom organization, labeling, and cleanliness to ensure efficient operations.
  • Compiles material inventory records and prepares requisitions for procurement of tools and equipment and supplies. Conduct searches for lost or misplace tools and equipment.
  • Unpacks and stores new equipment. Visually inspects tools or measures with appropriate devices for wear/defects and reports damage or worn equipment to supervisors.
  • Operate material handling equipment as required (training/certification provided if needed).
  • Performs additional duties as prescribed by the respective supervisor within the scope of Tool Crib Attendant.
