About The Position

We’re looking for a Toolmaker who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys variety in their day, and wants to contribute directly to product innovation to join our R&D team at our Innovation Center in Rosemount. The Toolmaker looks at a sketch, visualizes the finished part, and knows exactly how to bring the product to life.

Requirements

High school Diploma or GED
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines.
Knowledge of MasterCam and SolidWorks
Ability to resolve day-to-day issues by working effectively with others
Basic computer skills including competence in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Ability to receive, understand, and follow all written and oral instructions
Excellent interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

Study sketches, models, and descriptions to determine materials, machining approach, and sequence of operations.
Compute dimensions, plan layouts, determine assembly methods, and build tooling to spec within scheduled timelines.
Run lathes, CNC mills, grinders, cutting tables, and other shop equipment with precision.
Check dimensions, alignment, and clearances; recommend design modifications based on function and manufacturability.
Fabricate prototypes, construct fixtures, sharpen tools, and machine close‑tolerance parts.
Perform routine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized.
Work closely with the Prototype Shop Manager and use Wrike to track timelines and updates.
