The Tool Room Toolmaker will repair and perform preventative maintenance on stamping dies and assembly tooling as needed, while striving to improve the quality of workmanship and time taken to complete assigned work. This role involves working in a safe, quality-minded, and productive manner with a sense of urgency to achieve tool room deadlines and production priorities. The Toolmaker will operate various tool room machining equipment and welding operations, attend daily pre-shift meetings, and communicate effectively with management and plant personnel regarding tool room concerns and action plans. They will also assist in implementing and improving preventive maintenance programs, support company operating principles, and collaborate with vendors and contractors with integrity. Additionally, the role involves working with all shifts on continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles, potentially adjusting shifts as necessary, and maintaining documentation. There may be opportunities to develop tool room apprentices and provide guidance.
