About The Position

The Tooling Technician supports manufacturing by ensuring all dies (and related tooling) are kept in a state of readiness. This role involves performing die preventative maintenance and setup activities for production use.

Requirements

  • Ability to read micrometers and verniers.
  • Ability to organize and maintain documentation.
  • Demonstrated mechanical or machining capability.
  • Forklift certified or willing and able to pass certification.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and perform new assignments.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.
  • Basic computer skills and proficient in data entry for excel, word and outlook.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must be self-directed to accomplish goals with minimal supervision.
  • Proven records for high attendance and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble and reassemble dies.
  • Setup and trouble shoot die setups on injection presses.
  • Perform minor repair of tooling.
  • Using mills, lathes and surface grind machines to produce replacement parts.
  • Maintain documentation related to tooling setups, PM’s and modifications.
  • Support tooling department, as necessary.
  • Must follow and adhere to all safety procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervision.
  • Weekend coverage, as scheduled.
