About The Position

The Tooling Maintenance Technician is responsible for daily maintenance and upkeep of dies and sizing to ensure tooling remains in proper working condition. The role works with production on tooling maintenance issues and coordinates with the tool shop regarding repairs and preventive maintenance. This is an hourly, non-exempt night-shift position with a 12-hour rotating 2/2/3 schedule, working from 5:50 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The posted pay range is $18.25–$23.70, plus a 10% shift differential.

Requirements

• Ability to use hand tools.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent attendance record for internal candidates.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Must wear and properly use required PPE on the plant floor.

• Previous forklift experience or completion of forklift training.

Responsibilities

• Clean all extrusion tooling.
• Work with production on tooling maintenance issues.
• Coordinate with the tool shop on necessary repairs and preventive maintenance issues.
• Log each job in the tooling maintenance log.
• Complete required documentation.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Follow work instructions and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
