Plastic Ingenuity is seeking an Entry-Level Tooling Machinist to join their team. This role offers hands-on training with experienced machinists in a stable manufacturing environment with long-term career paths. The company focuses on highly customized, low volume, high-variety jobs, involving projects from start to finish. The shop is clean, modern, and climate-controlled, operating on a 4-day work week.

Requirements

Knowledge of basic machining operations
Entry-level machining experience, internships, or shop training acceptable
Willingness to learn, follow direction, and grow technical skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Team-oriented attitude and good communication skills

Nice To Haves

Technical diploma, associate degree, or coursework in Machining, Tool & Die, or Machine Tool Technology preferred

Responsibilities

Operate a surface grinder to sharpen steel punches and dies with guidance
Perform basic machining, drilling, and CNC operations under supervision
Assist with mold construction and completion using shop equipment such as drills, mills, saws, and lathes
Learn CNC setup and basic programming adjustments with support from experienced staff
Follow good manufacturing practices to ensure product quality and safety
Maintain clean, organized work areas in compliance with 5S standards
Care for machines, tools, and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation
Work collaboratively with tooling, production, and engineering teams
