About The Position

Amazon needs support for designing test fixtures and pallets. The scope includes converting fixture concepts into fabrication-ready mechanical drawings. The onsite lead/SME will work directly with client design engineers to capture fixture and test setup requirements, translate requirements into clear work packages for the India team, and review, iterate, and close design feedback quickly. The onsite role will act as the interface between client teams and the offshore design team to reduce communication friction.

Requirements

• 8 to 10 Years Fixture Design & Manufacturing Support
• Strong in Machine Design / R&D Design experience
• Strong in tooling/fixture design
• Good understanding on fixture concept, working principle of common OEM's like bearings, gearbox, toggles, slides etc
• Capable to own the project delivery completely (from concept to release)
• Good Knowledge on Material Selection, Machining and Fabrication process and post processing operations
• Thorough knowledge in calculations to define structures/loads, choose the right OEM's and its accessories in the market (e.g., Linear Guides, Motors, gearbox, bearings, etc.)
• Proficient in creating manufacturing drawings, defining tolerances with GD&T
• Proficient in UG NX is a must
• Awareness on Manufacturing techniques
